Päiväkirja - devoted, 26 huhti 10

I've had a really tough couple of days ... but I'm feeling motivated again today to get back on track! This is the beginning of week five for me. Some things that I've noticed in the handful of weeks I've been working on getting healthy and fit ... before I started my journey to a healthier "me" ... I was taking antacids every night before bed ~ and sometimes, that didn't even help. I was taking sleep aids every night too, or I couldn't sleep through the night. I was tired all the time ... I just felt wiped most days. And I was in chronic pain (stomach / intestinal issues). For YEARS, I was in chronic pain almost constantly. I was ready to go to the doctor (again) to see what they were going to do about it, because I felt like I couldn't take it anymore. When I started working out, it wasn't even for the "right" reasons really ... it was because I'd found a love for cooking, and I decided I didn't want to gain a hundred plus pounds because of all the cooking I planned on doing. lol But as I started working out so hard, I didn't want to undo all of my hard work with eating fattening foods. So I changed my diet too. I still love cooking! But I'm finding healthy ways of cooking. Anyways ... within three weeks of my journey, I realized I wasn't in pain anymore. I wasn't having to take antacids anymore. And I wasn't taking sleep aids anymore!!! I have all kinds of energy and I just FEEL good! Getting off the sleep aids and antacids is such a blessing! But the bigger blessing that I'm even more thankful for ... is not having to be in chronic pain anymore. Anyone who has ever been in chronic pain for years can testify with me ... I'm starting to feel like I'm getting my life back.

Congrats!!!! i had some of the same issues but not anymore! it feels great to be in control I have had ups and downs but when i am at a B-day party i can eat a cup cake and still be ok. this is going to be a great life as well as a great lifestyle...
