It's Friday, I got paid, and it's raining in the desert. Life is good! Time for Operation Weekend Watch to resume. I've almost recovered from last Sunday's cheat day. I never thought I would be so happy to be rocking a size 20, though, lol.
Last night I went to a happy hour get together to say goodbye to a co-worker who is leaving my company for greener pastures. There was a lot of free bar food and booze but I steered clear of it all. I had an iced tea and pretended it was a Long Island, hehe. It's been a while since I have seen a lot of the office folks as I have been "stationed" at a client site. Everyone raved at how good I looked. That was a good feeling. Mind you, just about every woman at the office is one of those sophisticated, model thin, drop dead gorgeous women we love to hate (except most of them are so nice I don't have the heart to hate them).
I have a ton of coupons for Lane Bryant that expire on September 30th so I am really trying to get into a size 18 by then to capitalize on the savings. No more cheat days for a while, hehe.

Way to go and get through that going away party, those are the hardest with all that good stuff just laying around. I'm glad you have such supportive co workers.

We have to remember that skinny girls are people too...lol!! More importantly we have to remember that we are going to be skinny girls too!! Go you for avoiding all the dangers - I bet it felt great!! Go and buy the size 18s and put them away...you'll be wearing them in a few months :)

Good point. Whether or not I can fit them, I can get them and they will be in the closet when they are needed. I was thinking a size 18 by the end of the month might be unrealistic, as well, especially given the fact that I intend to start building up some muscle.

Erin you will be surprised how quickly size 18 will happen, so don't go for big fitting 18. Exercise will also change your shape, with me I lost the roundness of my middle first, so clothes started to fit me better. Don't feel despondent about buying clothes that are smaller, keep reminding yourself this is where you are heading, you don't need to buy big as you aren't going to be there for long :)

I hope I will be one of the "nice" skinny girls and not let the weight loss go to my head, hehe. I know I will still have the loose skin to keep me humble for a while at least. @FOL, I have great co-workers. It's one of the reasons I am still so glad I left my last job to join my current company. The big raise in pay, helped too, of course.

The loose skin is one of my worries too. I'm not as diligent with the exfoliator, moisturizer, and vitamin E as I should be. Thunderstorms just passed through, along with hail, which didn't last long once it got down, given that it was around 90 out before the storm swept in.

YIPPEEE HOORAY - so happy you are rocking your sassy self to placees and avoiding the extra calories - isn't it a great feeling? And having people compliment you is even better. Use your coupon and get something smaller and smaller yet...use it as a motivator!
