Looks low carb but are you hiding white rice or something under there?!

well no, there's no rice, but 16 grams of carb in that dish. It's my first attempt at eating keto and I'm finding it hard to stay under 20 grams of carbs a day.

I see good food, good carbs that contain positive nutritional value. Good job.

Keto can be hard for many but many find it easy. 🤷‍♀️ There are lower carb options all around. I also don’t see the carbs in this meal. As you start I’d advise going slow. I jumped in to just cico a year ago and was so miserable. (Cut our half my food immediately, all sodas and all snacks.) Now I do slow changes and it’s much easier on me. (35# lost in about 9 months I think and 40# lost over the whole year-I’ve been playing with maintenance for the last 20ish weeks). Cut a little each week or each day. Of 20g is hard try to aim for 30g this first week. Then next week can be 25g and so on. You’ve got this!

You did great on carbs for the day! And most important you had a variety of good food. Many think that you can't have vegetables and/or fruit and granted that is limited, but you can have a variety of veges and some fruit if you plan for them.

carbs and net carbs are very different. You should be fine eating all the carbs in Veggies since there is so much fiber in them.
