I have a No Scale Victory I’d like to share. Even if nobody reads it, I want it recorded in my journal.
I slept 2 hours last night and felt awful all day. I decided I wouldn’t exercise and would just keep my calories low to stay in a deficit. I ate 1400 calories, but got home tonight still feeling hungry.
I ate some baked Cheetos. I ate a few pieces of honeydew. And I ate a bowl of Special K Protein cereal with almond milk. I was feeling bad about myself because I knew I’d gone over my calorie goal. Then I input my food in FS and realized I’d only eaten 1800 calories: maintenance for the day, OR my goal on days when I exercise and burn more calories.
I also realized I felt energized from the food I’d eaten! I changed into some workout clothes and did some aerobic exercise for about an hour, burning ~500 calories.
Obviously this was not an ideal day. The point is, I still made it work despite everything.
