Good Morning. Monday it is ...

First. Thank you to Keld for sharing the video link on the science of fasting. VERY INTERESTING!!! In fact ... I'm going to give this a whirl myself by attempting a restricted calorie "fast day" today!! I am thinking this will be easier on the days I work rather than on the weekend. I know Keld is trying to work out a "system" for himself and those of us who might be interested but I just can't wait!!

On the home front there is trouble brewing. Our batteries in our off-the-grid power system for our home are failing. They are SUPER expensive to replace and we haven't the cash or credit to do so. So ... I'm praying for a miracle!! LOL!! We lose power now regularly. My DH was up early this morning, fretting ... his statement? The house is falling apart and I'm croaking. What a time we're having. I'm telling you all, if it isn't one thing it certainly is another.

DH and I split a steak yesterday at Texas Roadhouse. It was very good. I was a tad over my RDI but very proud that I counted EVERYTHING I ate and exercised some self control. Scale up that 2 tenths of a pound, again, but I think this week my body may let loose and show me a loss. I'm hoping anyway.

Doing what I can to take care of me. Did part of my Pilates DVD this morning. Must dash off to finish getting ready for work. But first ... time to practice gratefulness ...

I am grateful for ...

Exercising self control in a restaurant!

Not giving up on myself though I often feel like I want to.

A job to go to that distracts me from my own trials and tribulations.

I'm NOT pregnant!!!

My morning coffee ... LOVE my morning coffee.

Ouch. I hope the power stays on. I don't know how we survive without it! I hope it all goes well - you and hubby are in my thoughts. I'm glad you enjoyed the video as much as I did. It IS super interesting, even if the focus in it is NOT on weight loss as such. There are just so many other interesting things in it. So I figured, if we can COMBINE it, then there really isn't anything to lose, is there?

Hi Carol! Late getting here today. I hope you can get your power issues straightened out. So sorry about that. You sound good though and great job at the restaurant and with your exercise. Hope the day was good!! Hugs!!
