Taking a few minutes this morning to write. I am feeling better this morning. Don't know why but yesterday I just wasn't feeling up to snuff. After my apple, lemon, celery juice this morning I feel re-charged.

Enjoyed my soup yesterday. It was delicious!!! So fun to cook again. Mom and DH really liked the soup too ... it was a winner and surely will be made again. Probably a little higher in calories as the main ingredient was Cannelli beans. Ate a few toom many Wasabi almonds yesterday. Probably why the scale was up a pound today but I'm not going to fret about it. I typically lose, lose, lose then gain and fluctuate a bit before my next "loss." So I shall simply carry on!!!!

Snow today. Pretty steady. They say it is supposed to warm up the next couple days and rain. That I am not looking forward to. Rain on top of snow makes for icky roads towards my home. I'm hoping "they" are wrong or at least up where we are it will not rain ... I'd rather have snow.

We got our batteries ordered for our power system at home. DH and I will drive to Spokane and pick them up next Monday. They ended up costing about a grand but fortunately I have a little over $600 saved toward them. My dear mother is being kind enough to put them on a credit card for us so we can go ahead and buy them now, pay her off as we can. Glad that all worked out well. It will give DH and I an extra day with each other too ... which is always enjoyable. Since the batteries weigh so much we'll need to take the truck (400 lbs!!!) and I'd rather have him drive the truck than myself. I like the truck but when the roads are icy I don't feel as confident driving the truck. It's all good!!! YAY!!!

Asked DH to clean off three shelves in the pantry which have been stacked with things I know nothing about, over the past several years. They are HIS stuff and I didn't want to go through them because I don't know what he wants to keep and what was trash. HE DID IT!!! YAY!!! Ended up with an extra shelf for me!! I've been kind of on a cleaning frenzy with cupboards and shelves ... getting rid of stuff that was outdated, putting aside some things to donate so I made several bags of trash in that process. Took those to the dump this morning on my way to the office so I'm feeling lighter in that respect too.

Taking Friday off this week (gosh it seems like I take more time off lately than I am at work!) to take mom to get her hair done before her trip to California on Saturday. It will be our last "fun" day together for several months. Hoping our hairdresser has time to trim me up while we are there. I need color too .... but that will likely have to wait until another day.

Well ... back at it my friends. I am grateful ... I am!!

* for answers to prayer

* for balance and a positive outlook towards getting back into a healthy weight range for my body

* for a success with my soup!!!

* for a job setting that is flexible enough for me to take care of family business without being stressed out about it.

And so ... I shall and I am continuing to practice kindness towards myself. It makes such a difference for me when I do. Ever mindful of life being a journey, not a destination which includes my weight/eating/nutrition. Ever thankful of this place where I can write my thoughts and have such wonderful buddies to accompany me!!
