I think it was back in December I had a goal of getting under 200 lbs by May. I go back to see my family, so I thought that it would be a good goal. I'm leaving in 3 weeks, so there's no way that will happen. I'm a little disapointed. I've been so up and down with my weight. Mostly because I'm having a heck of a time controlling what I eat. I have the excerise down...and I'm really improving on my running and weight lifting. I'm going to push myself to get out of the 230s at least by then.

It's hard to controll what you eat, when some of the main things you're not supposed to eat are your favorite things. I practice all things in moderation. I love potatoes, however, I limit myself to potatoes about every 2 wks or so...and if I just have to have them, then I only cook 2 or 3 potatoes for dinner for my husband and myself. I don't do diet drinks, but I love coke, so I limit myself to a soda only when we go to the movies and even then, I don't drink all of it. Don't eat until you feel full, by then it's too late and you'll be overly full. Eat until you no longer feel hungry. You can do this! Great work on getting the exercise down and improving on your running and weight lifting. That's better than I've done. I have the eating (or rather eating right) part down, but still need to work on that exercise thing.

Thanks. I think I really need to try practicing all things in moderation. I usually just deprive myself of what I enjoy, and then after a few days I binge. I really think letting myself eat what I like, but limiting it instead of totally cutting it out will work better for me.

I do it too. Though not as much now. But yeah, if I deprive myself of something, it's not long before I'm gorging myself on whatever I've not allowed myself to have. Then I feel guilty and because I've already gone overboard on that I decide "just one more won't hurt" and next thing I know, I've eaten an entire box of cookies lol!

TJSloan is definitely giving you great advice. And I second the great job on getting the exercise down!! You've already got one side of things, now if it were just that easy to get the eating down. I struggle with my eating too, I love food and unfortunately I love bad foods. I do allow myself to eat at least a small piece of chocolate every day, otherwise I'm like you and binge on it later. Maybe gradually work on cutting things back and do it one thing at a time so you don't binge later. Or, try replacing one thing for another, like ice cream with frozen yogurt if you have to have ice cream. You can do this!!

Lots of great advice! And it seems like we're all guilty of a little indulgence here. :) Are you logging all of your food correctly? If so it looks like you were in a huge deficit for most of February... Maybe that is why your body felt the need to eat? I would aim for 1800 calories a day at the lowest; especially if you are working out. Your body needs fuel! And like mars2kids said, try substituting some food items. Instead of 1/2 cup Sour Cream for 246 calories, try using 1/2 Greek yogurt for 60. :D Don't give up! You might not reach 200, but try to get as close as you can!

Plan, plan and plan some more is my motto. I say it way to much on here too. But focus on entering your food - every morsel and you will be a winner. You could lose 5-10 lbs. in 3 weeks if you put your mind to it! I'm rooting for you.

Thanks guys...I really need to start planning my food better and recording. I know I keep saying that, but I guess my weight is proof enough that I should at least try!
