Päiväkirja - chickorychick, 29 huhti 13



Well, I know that my entries and recordings on this site won't be perfect. I haven't quite figured out how to navigate the site yet. However I think that the premise of the site is really great even though i have no intentions of being online daily. For instance, yesterday i played softball in the park with my buddie walked and worked a 5 hour shift (constant activity no breaks always standing/walking) but i don't know how to submit that into the activity portion of the site.

I also forgot to mention in my entry from yesterday that I just recently got engaged! We've been planning on getting married for quite a while now, probably just over a year and that's one of the things that really got me moving toward weight loss.

I've never been healthy or a normal average weight and I'm very VERY stubborn. When I start something I see it through to the end! I will never give up regardless of what anyone else says. Everyone keeps saying that i look fine and that i don't have to do anymore but they don't know where I'm coming from with this. My dad had 6 heart attacks when I was 17. My mom just had a really bad heart attack last month. Her arteries are so clogged they can't operate on her and she still won't change her diet. She's also diabetic, blind, and missing a toe. This frightens me. They're still in denial and won't change their diets. They're only 60. They are the ones that started me on a path that lead me to where i am today.

I was 205 last year at this time. I was tired and sleeping all the time. My friends couldn't get me to go anywhere or do anything with them. I really thought it was just my personality because I had never experienced anything different. I was an obese child who failed gym class year after year. My mind was always in a constant fog.

I'm so glad that that's not me anymore. And I can't wait to be another whole new me in 6 months to a year from now.

Good for you for recognizing where your parents went wrong, and working hard to correct your own cycle of unhealthy eating. Your stubborn streak is serving you well! As for entering exercise on the site...where it says 'Enter food' on the right.....right next to it is 'Exercise'. Click on that, then choose from the drop-down menu. You'll have to play around with it, but I learned yesterday that I can erase exercise, or increase or decrease the amount. And CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement! And congratulations on your engagement!

thank you! it's my day off so my activity level is a little sluggish haha. still time for an exercise video though =)
