Friday my friends!!! FRIDAY!!!

Today will be busy enough at work ... do I sound like a broken record?? I have an intake to complete this morning and an ongoing client this afternoon ... in between? You guessed it!!! Paperwork!!!

Nothing too exciting to report ... just looking forward to getting the wood split next weekend and the woodshed filled to the brim I hope!! We'll go out tomorrow night ... meet up with some friends, or not, and have some fun. Maybe cut up a log or two if the weather cooperates ... it is supposed to rain this weekend.

Our son will come home next weekend to help us with the wood duty ... and mom will be out of town playing with her miniature enthusiast friends so that means Josh will get to sleep in a 'real' bed instead of on the blow-up mattress!! LOL!!

I've been eating well this week and back to my exercise routine which feels actually wonderful. Funny how much I've become accustomed to moving my body ... I actually enjoy it (shhh ... don't spread this around!!!). I've not weighed yet ... will do so tomorrow morning. I feel good. So far all the clothes I've put on fit ... so I'm sure I am fine ... even if the scale is up a few pounds.

Well ... I need to finish my chores before I can go to work. Need to fill up the water tank, walk the dog, make my lunch, and finish getting ready for work.

Have a marvelous day. Kindness. Kindness. Where ever you may be in your journey ... the trip will be smoother and more productive if you are being kind to yourself. That doesn't mean making excuses for yourself it means being mindful, embracing your WHOLE self, acceptance even if there are things (and of course we all have aspects of ourselves) that you don't "like." I have been kind to myself this week by not getting on the scale!! Tomorrow I will be kind to myself by getting ON the scale and embracing whatever my lovely scale tells me my "weight" is at that moment. I have practiced kindness this week also by getting back into my exercise routine, Pilates and Elliptical!!!

So ... find your own kindness path ... celebrate YOU ... if times are difficult, take a deep breath and acknowledge that these moments will pass and change ... in time.

Friday is fabulous. I'm listening to Jimmy Buffett at work and jazzed that I'm having a really good hair day for once. Have a good weekend and don't hurt yourself with all that wood splitting.

I needed your journal today! I've been "making excuses" for my lack of focus recently...today's a new day...I'm pledging (once again) to make me first in my life...no more excuses...Kindness...MUST practice it daily!! Hope your enjoying your weekend...and way to go on that pile of wood...don't you feel a huge sense of accomplisment after getting it done!! I always LOVED the woodpiles...Great workout!! huggggies darlin'....

Deb ... no excuses. Excuses are bs. You accept your choices, live with the consequences and figure out the reasons/circumstances ... whatever that are leading you up to those choices. Accept them or make different ones. AND ... no beating up on yourself or rationalizing. This journey is long ... hopefully because that means our life is long. You won't ever "arrive" but you will visit many destinations along the way. There is something to be learned from where you are currently. What is it? Perhaps if you truly embrace yourself it will come to you. Making you "first" in your life is probably a moment by moment decision!! Perhaps that is the place to start ... asking yourself ... am I putting myself first? Before each decision is made. Just thoughts ... don't know if they fit or not ... but you know me ... I'm full of it!!! LOL!!

Stef ... thanks!!! I'm pleased to know that others find my self-talk helpful!! I do think we might be on to something!! Of course we need to move our bodies and eat reasonably but I think the missing key for me was practicing kindness and realizing that diets do not work ... at least not for me!!
