Boy oh boy, Yesterday I was really nauseated. I think I had a little of the dumping syndrome. I got really hot and sweaty and extremely nauseous. I'm not sure why this happened. I know that I was extremely busy at work yesterday and did not have time to eat lunch or breakfast until very late. I ate a bowl of protein cereal at 5:30 am then my yogurt at 10:30 am. I ate my peach at 3 pm and then a couple peanut butter crackers on my way home at 5 pm. I ate some watermelon at 7 pm, my leftover filet mignon at 8 pm. I had an extremely bad migraine that started around 1 pm and progressively worsened until I finally went to bed around 9 pm. The hot sweaty feeling started around 3 pm and that's the reason I ate the peach. By 9 pm when I went to bed my symptoms included--severe pounding migraine, horrible nausea but no vomiting, small amount of abdominal cramping and gas, and being hot and sweaty. All I can think of is that I went too long without eating and really never recovered from it until I went to sleep. I had to take a sleeping pill to stop the cycle and when my dogs woke me up a few hours later to go outside, I felt quite a bit better. Anyone who has had the RNY, any ideas what happened to me yesterday?????

I had not previously heard of dumping syndrome and have not had RNY; however, I do suffer as you have today and on a regular basis. My GP says it is a food intolerance that I have grown into at 42 and I have been cutting out foods to see what triggers it - soya, dairy & gluten were the worst culprits, also drinking at the same time as eating seems to be a bad move (leave your drinks at least 30 mins before/after food). Just to be warned, after your next normal bowel movement, it may be followed by an explosive water release, which seems to be part of it - but, I hope this passes you by and it was just a 'one off' of maybe insufficient water and you were dehydrated :-) Here's to hoping you are feeling better now xx
