Päiväkirja - xterrawoman, 15 tammi 09

I have the book and have read it several times. I believe I understand the program. I keep a food diary on paper at home. My Dr. has never expressed an interest in it. All he wants to see is the record of my blood pressure. I don't record a food diary here because I have very limited time to use the computer at work. I don't have a computer of my own. So far so good. I feel great. No cravings and usually no hunger. Weight stable at 221.5. The weight lifting is beginning to pay off my clothes fit differently and I fell stronger, just moving around through my day is easier.

Keep in mind that a lot of doctors are trained primarily in medicine and less in nutrition. Which means if you have something like high blood pressure like I did, it's probable the doctor will put you on medication instead of FIRST recommending you change your eating habits & start exercising. That's why it's soooo important we be dilligent in taking care of our bodies & health by eating properly and maintaining some type of daily exercise. Stay w/your diet plan and keep up the good work!

Agree with Pking 100%. The program itself is actually very easy to follow. A small book which helped me is Agatston's "The South Beach Diet: Good Fats, Good Carbs Guide" which is probably at your local library or available at Amazon for $7.95. It is a clear, concise, and detailed guide to what is allowed in each phase. You are off to a great start, keep it up!

All I can do is ditto the great input already given. Keep up the good work, looks like your chart is headed in the right direction.
