Looking at trying out the fat fast that's recommended for inducing yourself into ketosis more quickly

I'm going to try to find some MCT oil tomorrow and get my body used to taking it over the next week and plan to start on the fat fast next weekend. It sounds pretty easy and it's only for 2 days.

I've ordered some ketone testing strips and they should arrive by then.

Wonder if anyone else has tried the fat fast and what the results were.

Hi. I'm not going to try to talk you out of the fat fast. But, it is intended to be used after you have tried a less restrictive low carb way of eating for a couple of weeks. It is intended for those few truly metabolically resistant bodies that do not respond to carbs reduced to 20g a day. You may want to reconsider and try a 20g carb, with moderate protein and higher healthy fats first. That being said, yes, lots of people have tried it with success (if you want to call it that). But it is extreme and generally unnecessarily restrictive. Dana Carpendar's website, hold the toast, has quite a bit of info on the fat fast if you want to read the positive side of it. Best to you either way.

The scales were kind me to me this morning. I'm actually down a bit over 2kg since I started dieting on February 1 and started trying to eat more fat
