Got stuck doing Atkins /keto diet. Tape measure wouldn't move by a millimeter.
Spent time doing some research and decided to take a carb up day (loved every single piece of that half banana) and eating more. 24 hours later, lost 1 inch from my waist. I am back today to my high fat/low carb diet which I love because I am never hungry when I am in ketosis which I have been for a while losing 4 dress sizes since I started. But since this late experiment I decided to do carb cycling once a week (maybe 30 to 35 grams of carbs)and also calorie cycling which means that although my weekly calorie intake would stay the same, my dailies would vary by 30 to 40 percent. I know there is a formula somewhere for bodybuilders but I am no bodybuilder. I'll let my body and the ketostix do the talking. Does anybody know if Dr.Atkins (to whom I will be always grateful to for the rest of my life) ever address the carb cycling subject or is this a more recent development?

Kathy, sorry to tell u: no banana for u. You're doing great! Whatever you're doing is working, so keep doing it! For me, desperate times called for desperate measures. Hopefully you'll never hit this thing called a plateau; but if you ever do, I'll be there sharing my experience. Happy Thursday!
