Plateauing?? Look at your chart, you are doing amazing. Staying the same for a few days is perfectly normal. If you stay the same for a few weeks than I would worry a little. Keep up the good work.

Maybe switch to weighing yourself once a week rather than every day? (won't lose the weight any faster, but might make you feel mentally better because the scale can go up and down from day-to-day). I am increasing my excercise a lot - running 3 days a week, strength training 3 times a week, spinning 1 time a week, and cycling on weekends (70 miles combined this past weekend)....I have done nothing on the scale at all in the last couple of weeks, but my pants are fitting different. You don't eat a lot of calories a day, is that a number you came up with or are you following a plan?

I feel I need the incentive of seeing what my weight is each morning. The frustration of seeing it not change for several days is balanced by the sight of it moving downwards when it does change quickly. Plus I can follow some patterns, such as water retention, more easily. I've been going to the gym an average of three days a week (three days most weeks, four days some). I'm finding that it gets easier every time. I initially came up with 1,500 calories as the number I needed. I've stayed below that much of the time (with an eye to the amount of protein and fibre that I have to take in, as well as the vitamin and mineral content of what I'm eating) without becoming malnourished.

Have you talked to a neutritionist about your calories, protein, etc.? I have a friend who is a neutritionist that gave me some casual advice so that I was confident that I wasn't doing any long term damage.
