Day #46 - "Only" down a half a pound today, but I'm thankful for it. If course, I wish it had been more, to speed this process along; but, God has perfect timing! At least I didn't stay the same or GAIN today! I thank the Lord for that! 54.5 pounds lost this year. 5.5 pounds left to go to reach my 60-pounds in 6 months goal.
Yesterday, for the first time since beginning the fast, I didn't feel like I was functioning on all cylinders. Usually, I have felt that this "alternate fuel" (e.g. Stored Fat!) was enabling me to function about 85-95% of maximum. Yesterday, I felt like I was dragging a bit - maybe at around 70-75%. Physical Therapy was especially grueling, as we're doing new exercises, and making old ones more difficult to do (adding additional sets, doing them in harder positions, etc.)
Had a really bad day yesterday, stress-wise! I'm supposed to have a Covid test done at least 4 days before my colonoscopy (which is next Wednesday). It was supposed to be done at the hospital where I'm having the procedure. After several phone calls to the hospital to find out WHERE the testing was supposed to be done, and following all of the signs that were supposedly leading to "Pre Testing for Procedures/Surgery," and waiting in a mostly deserted area, honking, pulling on the double doors that were locked (you get the idea) - I went on home without ever getting the test. Afterward, I called my gastro doctor's office, and they said that the last THEY heard we were supposed to get the test done, but that things are changing daily, and that maybe the hospital isn't requiring them now. There's a bunch more stuff about all this, but it is making me tense reliving it. Ended up drinking an excessive amount of Diet Coke in response to the stress.
Going to try to go back to the hospital again today and get to the bottom of things.
