Päiväkirja - puhpine, 10 heinä 14

Tour starts one hour earlier then yesterday, so one more hour on the torture machine for me today... My butt hurt less and less every day, but i am afraid to see what happens after todays 4.5 hours and tomorrows 5.5 hours.

But if the dutch football team taught us anything, it is not to plan ahead!

Yesterday i went to an all you can eat, as long as you make it yourself, restaurant. scale was up this morning, but i know what i scooped on my plate, and i know what i am doing exercise-wise, so i am not worried about the 84.5 kilo... one kilo is salt/water retention, one kilo is bowl filling and its about time of month that usually add another kilo. so according to calculations i weight 81.5 (*lol*) we shall see that number after "TOM" next week, i am sure! :P

think about me today between 1 pm and 5:30 pm !!

thanks Deb_N goodluck will rub off ;) *** since it is such a boring etappe today, i decided to jump from the indoor bike to my normal bike for one hour, and hop right back asap. Will be fun to be cycling for real, and it will make my day less boring. I will make sure the transfers will not cost me any more time then a fall-off-the-bike would cost a renner.

that will be fun to ride on your real bike. your butt will really be sore then! i have to get a new saddle. this one is more for long distances. the last time i really rode, i did the AIDS ride from minneapolis to chicago. 500 miles in 6 days. so i had the good hard saddle for that. now i need a soft, springy one for my sore butt. it's also hard to find a place to ride in chicago. the streets are pretty dangerous. there are forest preserves. i would have to drive there and my bike doesn't really fit in my car. excuses, excuses. good luck with your stage today. you are doing great!

actually jparlet, my butt has a pretty good idea of Froomes pain, only Froome feels it all over! (*grin*) *** I am glad to inform that i made it through another day even if i came in last (the lantern) i am lucky the time-constraint does not apply to me so i am allowed to appear at the start tomorrow...

Do you have a good pair of cycling shorts? Do you have a good seat on your ride? Contrary to popular belief a couple of thin layers of chamois and a firm seat provide the most comfort. I am going to be the driver of the car at one of a local charity rides this year. :) Giving out drinks, food and tools. I tried to ride in a ride called the Gutcheck in conditions like Froome was riding yesterday. There is a reason that I could have never been special forces or a navy seal. I don't like to be wet and cold. :( Who do you think has the best chance to win this year?

I gotta wonder if you'll have callouses on your but by the end. You'll definitely have one of the toughest butts around. like bounce a quarter off of tough.LOL
