Päiväkirja - Sweeet2th, 16 heinä 14

Fantastic summer weather here today, so I went for an extra walking lap around the neighborhood (3.2 miles in total). Now, it's time for my P90X workout (I think it's arms, shoulders and abs today.) and maybe a short 30-minute run on the treadmill after dinner.

I have to find more time for studying for my CPT exam or else I won't be prepared by my deadline! (My 40th birthday in October) It's just difficult to find the time to workout twice a day, make all of my meals from scratch everyday (a minimum of 2-3 hours), run errands, AND study all before "the Sig-O" gets home from work! I'm swamped. I better stop typing and get a move on!

Ciao for now, Everyone! :)

you're doing great. i've never been able to do two workouts/day. i have enough trouble getting one in. i just don't have the motivation for it. it does take a lot of time to make all your meals from scratch. my friend doesn't eat grains at all. she has to make everything. i don't know how she does it. good luck with your studying. it's hard to squeeze it in when you're so busy. but i think best to get it over with as soon as possible! when i finished PT school, i took my test right away before i could forget anything. PT=physical therapy.

The way I eat is pretty restrictive: no animal products, no grains (with maybe some organic brown rice, teff and amaranth once in a blue moon), no nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, goji berries, peppers to include paprika, chili powder, cayenne, etc.), no more than one teaspoon of refined oils a week (usually organic olive oil or an organic non-GMO vegan mayo), no GMO's (so that means no corn, soy, canola, etc. that isn't organic), no refined sugar (with the exception of a touch of honey or agave no more than once a week). And I'm sure there are other restrictions I can't think of right now, but that's the way I have to eat to keep my auto-immune disease from coming back. It completely vanished when I changed my diet! Unfortunately, restaurants and pre-packaged foods are pretty much out of the question for me now. Thus, I'm stuck chopping veggies everyday. It's a lot of work, but it's totally worth it! It's the small price I'm willing to pay to not be sick anymore! I'm hoping to get this personal trainer exam over with as soon as I can. It's quite a bit of info they want you to know. I managed to avoid taking anatomy and physiology as a cell biology undergrad (about the only intro biology class I DIDN'T have to take!) and now, I have to learn it anyway!
