Well, I am about ready to give up. My weight is maintaining and I cannot reach my RDI at all. My average caloric intake is around 900. I am eating what I think is right and its not working out that way. What can I do. I eat 6 times a day and I am full most of the time. I know that not eating enough calories stops you from losing weight as well as overeating does. Any one have any suggestions please send them to me.

V-J, if I were you, I'd start actually exercising. I tried using the "housework", "standing", "sitting" too for almost a month and I hardly lost any weight. Now I record only "sleep" and "rest" and whatever actual exercise I do and keep my caloric intake to 1000 less than my calories burned per day and I'm now dropping 2 pounds a week just like I want. Everybody is different and it took me almost 3 months to find the right combination of exercise and eating to get me where I want to be. I bet if you actually exercised more, you'd eat more because your body would need the calories to burn while you exercise.

Thanks for the tip, but according to past history when I exercise I eat less then when I don't. Causes me to gain weight. That was after a study with my doctor and he recommends that I lose weight and then start exercising.

Valerie, don't give up! You can do this! Have you tried changing up the types of food that you eat? Sometimes our bodies will plateau just because of that. As well, how long have you been maintaining? Could you be losing inches but not pounds? We can all do this with persistence! Keep your chin up!

Thank you Mike Ess and Kshaeffer. I appreciate the input. I will keep trying and yes I need to change up my food types. I tend to always eat the same things. Thank you kshaeffer for the encouragement.
