Guess it's been a while since I've been in here...again. I'm still tracking myself, but more for diabetic reasons than weight. I'm getting back on track with my eating, so the weight should fall into place. Drinking between 2 and 3 liters of water a day (1 liter=32 oz)...that alone is curbing my appetite, now I just have to make sure I don't just eat out of habit. Trying to stick to the "eat only when you are hungry", but that's dangerous...if you wait too long, you inhale food before you realize what you have done. So I'm having breakfast around 9am, having a snack around noon, a lite lunch around 3pm, and dinner around 7pm with a lite snack around 9pm if I'm hungry...trying to stay under 1800cal per day. Shouldn't be a problem if I eat lots of veggies!

I'll try to do weigh ins and journal entries more regularly.

Later.

1800 should be doable - that's close to my RDI. Eating the right things I'm amazed sometimes at what that allows me to do. Good luck, keep at it.

Thanks for the support...much appreciated! Working in camp is a little challenging when it comes to food choices, but I've developed a plan and I will stick to it. Only salads for dinner (have a late lunch with the sandwich that I grab) and have veggie snacks throughout the day. Yesterday was hard...they had a BBQ at the warehouse, then it was steak night at camp. I had a smokie at the BBQ (no bun), some onion rings and potato salad...so when I got to camp and smelled the steak, nearly killed me to just go and grab water, then walk away...but I did it.

Working out of a camp does present it's challenges, the big selection of good food to choose from in an environment where it's acceptable to eat as much as you want. You are exactly right, have a plan and stick to it while you're being served. A person can work in good steak just control the extra trimmings. Good luck
