I am new to this app. I am starting my first day of a very long journey. I injured my back in 2019. I have gained well over 100lbs. I am 5’3 and weight 273lbs. I saw my doctor yesterday and was in tears. I could keep feeling sorry for myself or I can do something about it. I am choosing my health! My goal is to lose 113lbs. Here goes nothing 👍

No tears! I wake up every morning with the intention of being perfect. I usually manage so-so, occasionally I completely blow it, I still wake up the next day with the intent. It’s working, slow but that’s ok, I’m not going anywhere.

Good for you! Set little goals, like 10 lbs or 20lbs, instead of getting overwhelmed with the big number. And forgive yourself if you get a little off track once in a while. Tracking everything I put in my mouth is the only way I can keep an eye on on how I’m doing and behave myself. Hang in there!

you've got this. you are going to LOVE it here.. I'm an inch shorter n also doubled in size recently. the encouragement here has been so helpful on days where I was literally gonna give up the kind and thoughtful words kept me going. welcome!! 💕💕🙏🏼

start slow. Ease into I. I still eat terribly. But I walk daily. I track every thing. even the bad stuff. I'm not losing. Nor am I gaining. But I'm steady around 200. Down from about 220. I'm closing in on 250k steps since March. I walk at least 2times per day. sometimes more. I started at 1000 step per day goal. But average around 1800steps per day. My numbers were bad too. Had two eye surgeries. Bum knee. But I still walk. Numbers are down. BP especially. Jus go slow. allow mistakes. and when u fall off. don't beat yourself up. Jus continue on. U will love seeing your progress. no matter how small. When u track and research what ure daily allowances should be. You will adjust that to your personal plan. says women are allowed 2100 cal a day and still lose weight. I never eat that many. I like between 1200 and 1700. so that's lots of leway. and I eat what I want. not a good thing tho. lol. Lots of support here. I do want to drop 15 more lbs. So I will drop down to bout 1200cal. Biggest threat is sodium I think. Stay under daily allowances and get physical. no way u won't lose. And we rite here to cheer u on. The way I do it. doesn't work for everyone. I have to find what works for you.

Dont feel bad . Feel good for taking the decision to choose Yourself over other things that you can ear moderately
