Päiväkirja - Avocado Tea, 13 elo 22

My mom is in town. I know that her visits usually trigger stress eating, so I’m making my plan for this week a day early.

At home, I will drink water before eating to give myself time to check whether I’m actually hungry.

I will not take seconds unless I have taken a break, drunk more water, and really need them.

Weird, I know, but if you’re old enough to know and plan for your triggers, you’ve got a chance of beating them, right?

i totally understand where you are coming from. My mom living with us was 2 years of back tracking; preventing weight loss and preventing healing trauma. After 2 years, I learned that it was mom that was toxic, more then likely shes a covert narcissist.

It was hard for me to keep my water intake going when I get visitors or very busy..this week I'm going to make sure I keep several bottles of water near me..1 gallon of water here I come each day..your plan is the best self control you can give yourself. but remember when things change up allow yourself to be ok with it. good luck..

So true! And visitors means richer food, and sitting around the table having just a little bit more.

Yep, planning ahead is a good idea. I also like to grant myself a little grace and wiggle room. I hike, and I like to think of diet bobbles as going off trail rather than going off track. It's really easy to step back on trail, but really hard to put a locomotive back on a train track. Perhaps I'm babbling on a tangent. Regardless, know wh
