Päiväkirja - madaboutmoose, 09 heinä 09

AH!!! That is me breathing a sigh of relief as this week continues. It has been NUTS!!! I'm so busy at work and am so behind in my paperwork I am nearly hysterical!! LOL!!! This is what happens, it gets busy - I get behind. It calms down - I catch up. The great thing is that I am NEVER bored!

I was so excited for my mom this morning (judibird). She has less than 10 lbs to her goal weight. She had a huge smile on her face this morning and I love to see her feeling good about herself. Me? Well, I'm excited for me too! Mostly because I am still here!! I am still travelling this journey, feeling hopeful more often than not, keeping my weight under 200, exercising, and feeling physically much better than I can ever remember feeling before.

My husband and I have a little trip planned for his birthday, leaving on July 25th. I would just love to have seen my goal weight on the scale by then. It could happen. Or, maybe not. I know that I will see an increase when I get back ... and that will be just one more opportunity for me to continue to practice this new way of living. Learning not to be upset by "ups" because a "down" is ALWAYS possible. Learning that I am NOT DESTINED to be "fat." Learning that I DO KNOW how to take good care of myself. My husband frequently asks me, "where are you today?" He gets this funny smirk on his face when I tell him. I truly can't imagine where I might be if he wasn't in my life. He has always been my biggest supporter. He has loved me "big" and "smaller" ... never sweating me about my weight, never making me feel badly about myself. I am truly blessed.

So today I am counting my blessings!!! Life is good. May you all have a day where your blessing float to the surface of your awareness ... where you can acknowledge what is good about yourself, a day of healthy choices and continuing your journey!
