Had an impromptu dinner with a friend last night. We had chicken tenderloins and chicken flavored rice. Would have preferred to have veggies instead of the rice, but she hadn't made any. So I limited the rice and mostly ate the chicken. Went a little over on my net carbs but not too bad. I think I may need to start to tell people about my new WOE so that I wont feel guilty turning down the side dishes that are not on my eating plan. My family knows what I am doing and they are very supportive, but I did not feel ready to let everyone else know. I just didn't want to feel like I was constantly being scrutinized. I also wanted to avoid the well meaning friends who don't understand the science behind this WOE and lecture me on the perils and I wanted to keep those not so well meaning friends from attempting to sabotage my efforts. Need to think about this....
