Feel like I finally have some answers. I joined the LifestyleRX program and it is eye opening so far. I am just burning off my lean muscle if I fast more then 16 hours so I wont be doing that. I can also follow the other ways to eat healthy and stay full to reverse my insulin resistance and other red flag health problems. I am told by the doctor I need to get to 148lbs to reverse the insulin resistance and burn the fat out of my liver. I am so glad I finally found something that works instead of stumbling in the dark relying on things that are not sustainable long term.
I urge anyone to look into the LifestyleRX program. It is covered by provincial health care in Canada, and you meet with real medical doctors and dieticians and its a 12 week program. You can get a referral from your doctor of you qualify if you are insulin resitant, diabetic, pre-diabetic, or have metabolic syndrome. They will then loop in your family doctor. It is very comprehensive and backed by science. It is in the US as well but probably has a cost associated with it.
