My boot is OFF! My foot feels really good (no pain) and I'm cleared to get back to work! YAY!

This is the reality check for me - getting back on the treadmill, putting in the time, getting back to work.

For the past 3 days I've made my goal, Week2 Days 1&2 of C25K and Day 1 of weight training on our new (used) home weight set. The kind of weight set that has pulleys and central weights. I'm sore. My arms and legs ache in fatigue. BUT my energy and mood levels are off the chart HIGH. I feel great. The image in the mirror... well, let's just say I have some work to get back to pre broken foot status. 15lbs of lost muscle and added fat is a lot of inches, a very round rump and some not so pretty rolls. Then I have some more work to get to my long term goals.

Nevertheless... Warrior Mentality. That's my motto for 2016. I'm a warrior. Part of being a warrior is having strength, agility, flexibility, stamina and lots of training. Hollywood makes these vampire vaulting, zombie crushing, bad guy bashing superheros look like they are normal people with amazing skills. I beg to differ. Even the actors have to train to look like a superhero. LOL I probably sound like a crazy lady. Ohwell... whatever it takes to get the pounds off, the energy up, and the life FULL of great achievements. I'm excited!

PS... I stayed off the scale this week. This week's success is purely measured by getting into a routine. I can't run far, I can't run fast, I can't lift a lot of weight... but I can put the time in. I can train to be faster, run farther, and lift a lot more weight. That's what this week's goal are. Get a routine. Next week - get the calories under control. The week after, maybe I'll weigh in for measurable results.
