I have NO motivation to do anything lately, other than keeping the dishes washed. I just sit in my recliner thinking about all I SHOULD be doing. I just practiced the piano for about 10 minutes, and that took every bit of willpower I could muster. UGHH!

Are you walking these days? You seem so motivated when you do. I'm pretty sluggish myself and I know I 'm more motivated if I can get in some steps.

Move a muscle change a thought baby...try OA on line for motivation and to lose weight..I just worked out hard..and am really old..77..the recliner is not a grave but its close...come on honey..you can do this....we do not have to want to do it..we just have to DO IT..MAKE AN ACTION PLAN FOR THE DAY...DISHES, LAUNDRY. WALK DOG. CALL A SICK FRIEND...GRATITUDE LIST...

Before I got off all the prescription dope in 1984 I was a self pity specialist..no one was as wronged as I was..poor Dianne as they used to say...poor Dianne poor Dianne..pour Dianne another drink or as a food addict get her another 9 bags of popcorn..WOE IS ME.MOST OF MY PROBLEMS ARE SELF CAUSED..AND THAT MEANS I HAVE 100 PERCENT CONTROL OVER THEM..WHITE PEOPLE LIVING IN AMERICA GOT NO PROBLEMS IN MANY INSTANCES..and on this site are problems are ones of excess...not deprivation...too much food..I cannot go down that rabbit hole of self pity..its a killer and it keeps us immobilized..

if you wish to create change, know that it may not be a perfect change. you have acknowledged this desire to change, it seems. this is great! maybe, don't think of it all at once? pick one room, one activity, one small thing more than yesterday.

Sometimes it's a signal to get some rest. You might want to try some meditation to clear your thoughts and schedule a mid-day power nap. Then make a list of what you need to do and cross them off as you do them. Sometimes seeing what you've done can help motivate. You can also use the Pomodoro method/technique, which involves setting a timer. You set the timer for 25 minutes and work on a task you need to do. Then take a 5 minute break.

Have you had lab work done lately—- specifically CBC, IRON AND FERRITIN levels. Caffeine blocks the absorption of iron. With as many sodas as you do or did drink that might be something to consider having checked. Would certainly help explain some of the mental and physical fatigue that you feel. FYI to anyone reading this, those high caffeine drinks like MONSTER or RED BULL have about 4-5 times as much caffeine as a regular soda. I am currently mentoring a youngish gal who really got into trouble with anemia, shortness of breath and fatigue? Vegetarian—ish diet and MONSTERS. Her doc wanted to do an iron infusion (co-pay $1000.00 and a certain element of risk) but I talked him into giving me 3 months to work with her and show an improvement through nutritional correction. He agreed. I had him Order labs for 6 weeks to check on the trend. BTW, here in California and the SW we have our American Coke but we can also buy MEXICAN Coke. Do you know the difference? American is made with high fructose corn syrup and Mexican is made with plain old cane sugar. They do taste different

motivation comes and go's if you wait to only put in the effort when your motivated you will never achieve your goals. good luck small changes add up big

Been there, too. Find one small project that can be quickly finished. Do one fun thing (not piano). Go outside in the sun for at least 15 minutes. Say "Hello" to five strangers. Talk (not text) with a friend. Little, enriching energizing steps lead to big results
