Friday night ... big sigh!!!

I did something tonight I am not sure I remember ever doing before. I put food back that I had on my plate!! I cooked some boneless, skinless chicken breasts tonight that I picked up on the way home from work today. I was hungry and so fixed my self a huge honeymoon salad and a big hunk of chicken. I got full!! Go figure!! So ... I reweighed what I had not eaten and took it off my diet calendar. Totally NOT like me at all.

I also just finished exercising. I didn't have time this morning. I almost never exercise in the evening. Has some alien inhabited my body???

I guess stranger things have happened.

It has been a lovely evening. Since I've worked late a couple nights and came in early this morning I was able to get home by 2:30 pm. It was still daylight!!! Passed my husband on my way home ... so we stopped and said hello. We are like strangers who pass in the night 4 days a week with him working nights.

Then I had a lovely, long talk with my closest female friend. She had today off work. She recently changed her work situation and she is now working in a therapy clinic. It's fun to hear her talk about her work without being so stressed out. She was an assistant dean at a university. Who would think being a therapist for folks with serious mental health disorders would be less stressful than working on a university campus!!

I've fooled around on the computer. Taken care of a couple work related tasks, chatted a bit with my mom via text, and have generally enjoyed myself. This week has been nice ... even if work has been very busy.

I am though looking forward to the next three days. An opportunity for me to get reacquainted with the man I married!! Not sure exactly what we'll do but I'm sure we'll have fun. He has been feeling much better lately and it sure makes a world of difference for me too.

So ... just thought I'd pop in and fill you in. I'm curious to see what the scale will say tomorrow. Will it go up? Will it go down? Perhaps it will stay the same. But as my dear buddy Dens reminded me today I have lost 18 some odd pounds since October and I am indeed a silly sausage!!! 16 or so more to go to get to 180, it will happen with many ups and downs in-between.

This evening I am incredibly grateful for ...

... trust,

... sunshine (even if it was really chilly outside),

... coats that go on sale when it is still really cold outside,

... chicken breasts

... light beer, and

... chocolate!!!

Morning dear..you are awesome my friend..working out after coming home from a full day and putting food back for later..So glad you are going to have some time with your DH..its hard when you work at different times of the day..Enjoy your 3 days...you desesrve it...:O)
