Päiväkirja - Rowanfair, 13 helmi 12

It is really not fair that I keep having to go after folks in the breakroom today. Monday=pastry day and there is a heel of the cinnamon bread that is calling my name (and flinging a snare of scent my way). So far I have resisted it's blandishments. But!

I think I am in a danger zone where my total lack of progress is making me want to "cheat". I am off to a conference this weekend where I run a hospitality suite. This is good, in that I can stock it with things I can eat and bad because it will also have things like a chocolate fountain which I can't. So a really bad time to be feeling shaky about my WoE.

I have been taking an "advanced diet class" from Chris Kresser and I find myself resisting the idea of going back to an induction-like phase. He recommends two weeks of a Protein Sparing Modified Fast which restricts both carbs and calories before relaxing into a more normal paleo type plan.

I guess I'll think about it after the conference. Getting the last 10-12 pounds off would be a relief. I think I have this maintenance phase thing down just fine. *facepalm*

I know the feeling......pastrys and cookie call my name. I made some Big Train PB cookies (5 net carb a cookie) and 1 of those totally curbs my cravings. They do not even taste low carb!

I really should make a low carb cheesecake for the suite... but then I would probably eat too much of it. It is just so tempting to graze when you spend hours "meeting and greeting". Better to keep the temptations to low reward foods like meat and veg.
