Oof. Too much BBQ and sweet stuff yesterday. And went back for some leftovers at Mom's for lunch today. But it wasn't all bad. Lots of fresh greens and veggies and avocado too. Will try to show more restraint tonight.
Our poor, poor dog was so traumatized by the fireworks last night. The composure treats didn't work at all. I was afraid he was going to have a seizure from shaking so hard. The only thing that consoled him was to jump in the tub in the downstairs bathroom, which is partially underground so the sound is more muffled. We'll definitely have to find better sedatives -- or maybe get some of those dog earmuffs I saw on Amazon.
