I just bought a new desktop computer at the same place I got the last one. I got a great deal on an HP Pro 6305 with a 3.4 Ghz processor, 4 Gigs of memory, 250 gigs of storage. It's refurbished, and the reviews for it are awesome. AND it was $99.99, plus they threw in a VR headset for free. Whee! It should be here by Monday or Tuesday next week. It's going to feel screaming fast because this Netbook is SO slow and laggy. I can play a whole game of solitaire in the time it takes for a page to load. LOL
Yesterday I had an allergy headache all day, so after work, I fell off the wagon HARD. Yep, stopped at MickeyD's and got a Big Mac Meal. Here's the surprise: not only did the bread not make my heart go crazy, but I'm down half a pound from yesterday. Go figure.
Back on it today with a 26 hour fast, and I'm making a very low-carb conch chowder. I was thinking about doing conch fritters with CarbQuick (like BisQuick, but way lower in carbs) but most fritter recipes have peppers, and I don't care for them. And after my foray yesterday, the lower the carbs I have today, the better.
Oh, and my new debit card came yesterday, in record time. Turns out I really didn't need to wait until it came, because my checking account is linked to PayPal, and NewEgg accepts PayPal. Yay!
Anyway, I'll get back to logging when I get the new machine.

Bah, you've got a computer on order and you're checking in, and making delicious stuff that nourishes you. That looks like back to me. And most human splurges look really small and undramatic to me after the beast's macaroon extravaganza last weekend. Oh, and you're getting a VR headset!

Hi there - great you got a new computer! What OS does it have (Win 7 or Win 10 maybe?). The only thing you may need to consider to is to get some more memory, maybe another 4 GB if you notice it being a little slow. Climb back on the wagon - you can do it!!

@NY_Shelly, the OS is Win10. I prefer Win7, but it was the best deal on newgg.com. My computing needs are small, and the 4 gig memory is 4x what my old aso it will quadruple the speed for my needs. The tracking info is for a Tuesday arrival.

I bought my desktop at Walmart.com and I am very happy with it. It was way cheaper than buying a new one. It is refurbished. I also bought my printer the same way and I have had it for 4 years with no problem.
