The past few days more and more people are starting to notice that I've lost a lot of weight and asking how I've done it. My answer is always pretty simple: eat less and exercise more. It's not as simple as it sounds.

In reality I'm doing more counting of my macros vs strictly calories. Foods low in carbs and sugar are typically going to be low cal as well as foods that are high in protein.

My goals have been to stay under 100g of carbs, over 80g of protein, under 30g of sugar and get over 20g of fiber. That part of the equation is more addictive than just counting calories.

A few people have told me that calories are calories, but I'd rather have 100 calories of a banana than 100 calories of candy. It makes sense when you look at what makes up those 100 calories.
