I live in Chicago, and I'm 40 years old. I've done Atkins/low carb most of my life, off and on. But this time, I'm staying on it permanently. Not only does it help me lose weight, but it also makes me feel better emotionally. I believe it's because I have food allergies; and these allergies seem to affect my moods. So, eliminating the grains seems to brings emotional balance back into my life. And on low carb, my eating habits are very simple. So, at the moment, that eliminates ALL forms of grains from my diet, even the healthy ones. However, I do love my minimal amount fruits (berries) and fresh vegetables! :-)
