Officially into week 3, I have no idea what day. I coaxed my husband and 17 yo daughter to start in on the diet last week. It'll be good to have family support. My teen is already seeing results, less than 5 days into her program. My husband, also seeing large weight losses, is struggling with heart palpitations and nausea. He feels so crummy this morning that he was talking about quitting the diet. He just started taking a multivitamin, magnesium and potassium supps yesterday, so I urged him to give it 48 more hours before giving up on it. KETO flu is no joke, my husband has more will power than most, so I'm worried about how bad he really is feeling.

As for me, because, let's be real, it's ALL about me... I'm feeling great. I'm still a little foggy, struggling with short term memory a bit, but my energy is great. I was down another lb on the scale this morning :) I'll log it tomorrow with the family weigh in.

DAY 14 and I'm feeling GREAT! I won't lie, there have been several days that I was in a fog. For example, Friday, I couldn't get myself to move. Going up a flight of stairs would send my head into a spin and my heart would start racing. I just guzzled water and then some more water all day, I tried to drink my way through the fog. Dinner is my bigger meal of the day, after dinner, I started feeling better. Then Saturday was a completely normal day; normal energy, normal hunger, normal bowel movements. Yesterday was the first day where I thought to myself, "this isn't too bad."

For me, 2 weeks to feel regular is a long time. BUT the results are staggering. I have one of those old fashioned bar scales... This morning, I had to move the BIG weight from the 200 to the 150! Seriously! That's a HUGE milestone for me! ONEDERLAND.

Is it Day 9 or 10? Wow. That's cool. I've gotten to the point that I'm not obsessing over how many days I've been on a diet. It's starting to feel normal. I'm a long way from making keto a habit.

This morning I woke with a raging headache. My first thought... water. But I did pretty good on water intake yesterday. My second thought, it's been 2 days since I've swigged pickle juice. Could that really be it? I'm cleared the headache with an Aleve, but tomorrow, pickle juice will be the first drink in my mouth. (all of my food is packed and with me for the day, no access to pickle juice until after dinnertime).

I stood on the scale today, another lb lighter... I won't become a slave to the scale, weighing in everyday, but I had some doubts about keto after reading a bunch of negative stuff. The last 10 days has been a lot of sausage, cheese, eggs, avocados, spinach, heavy cream and butter. I'm looking forward to learning new recipes that allow for more vegetables. Last night I made a shrimp and cauliflower curry, which felt healthier than fried cheese.
