*** I screwed up by trying to edit a weigh-in with journal entry done yesterday. Well it disappeared. So moral is don't go back and edit them. Also it will re-date it to whatever date you edit it on. Plus that one disappeared. Better just to add a new journal entry with the update.
So what I had done yesterday was to weigh myself immediately after my 26K bike ride when I was dehydrated. It was then at 174.6 lbs. This was an all-time low but not really a true weight since every other previous weigh-in was done immediately after getting out of bed before doing anything else. But I just wanted to see how low I was after riding 87Km over the past three days outside (30+31+26).
Still very nice to see 174 but don't expect it again.

So weighed myself as soon as I got out of bed this morning before anything else. As expected my weight jumped because I was dehydrated yesterday at 174 after biking. I had lots of fluid late yesterday and a giant burrito and chips from Qdoba as a treat last night and a cooler. Happy at 177 or lower!

Biked 26Km today to Perimeter then back through Bridgewater trails. Mostly clear trails and 0C. Some freezing rain on way back. Ice pellets in eye are not fun! Snow tonight and tomorrow so this truly may be last ride outside until spring.
Still very nice to have ridden 86Km over the past three days outside (30+31+26).

It has been exactly 2 months since I hit my goal weight of 177 lbs on Nov 14th. Happy to see I am still below at 176.6 lbs today in spite of splurging for a few days over Christmas and not limiting myself for those 4-5 days.
During my weight loss period I averaged about 1350 Calories per day last fall. Since I hit my goal I have steadily increased calories and for January I am averaging 2000 Calories per day.
My RDI to maintain at 177 lbs is 2300 for "moderately active" lifestyle. My biking is doing the trick for now but I feel like I am on the brink of weight gain and if I stop biking I'll gain for sure unless I dial back the calories again.
So I think with a passive lifestyle my RDI is below 2000 which is contrary to the RDI calculator.
I cannot maintain my goal weight if I fall back to a passive lifestyle. I have seen this before when I stopped running a few years ago and gained 40 lbs back. Need to stay on my bike. Outdoors and indoors.
I feel like I am in my best shape in years. I am now considering switching from bike to running and if my joints (and wife and Covid) allow, training to run the Manitoba Half Marathon in June. Haven't run it for 5 years now.

Biked 30Km today though Bridgewater to Perimeter then West trail to Bishop and Pembina. Hit 1C, beautiful for Jan 13. Snow tonight and tomorrow though so clock ticking on outdoor rides.
