Praise God, I finally broke the 250 mark. I have been stressing over it for over a week, trying to eat just the right amounts of this and that. I finally just decided to forget the weight part and just eat right. Low & behold....it went down. I may have come to the conclusion that I was investing entirely too much effort in "getting it just right" and just needed to simply eat better food in the right portions and just let it happen. Sure takes out a lot of the stress factor. We'll see how this idea goes.

Well, it's Friday. I wonder what the weekend will bring? It's supposed to be absolutely beautiful here, so maybe it's time to walk the dogs. I've been eating right and feel better about moving, so maybe it is the right time to incorporate some routine exercise. I found an exercise video for couch potatoes, of course wanting the least strenuous to begin with, and I haven't even taken it out of the wrapper yet! This weekend I will. May even watch it. Hopefully I will move along with it. Exercise has NEVER (& I can't stress that word enough here) been a strong suit of mine. It has always been a dirty word. This is probably the hardest part of my lifestyle change. Walking is probably going to be my salvation. Wish me luck.

Almost 3 weeks into my new way of eating and I have already gotten too comfortable with "thinking" I know what I'm doing. :o) I am finding that water really is important to losing & that I really need to enter my meals in order to ensure that my fat intake is higher than my protein. Yesterday I actually had higher protein than fat & that is a no-no. We have been told for so long now to eat low fat that it's hard to make myself deliberately eat more fat. One good thing is that I get 1/2 an avocado a day. Healthy fat. I did find a good sugar free bbq sauce on line & it was pretty darn good. "Guy's Award Winning Sugar Free BBQ Sauce". It comes in 4 flavors and just 1 carb per tablespoon.It will be a staple at my house.
Thanks everyone for your support. It really makes a difference to come online, keep track of meals, weight, writing in a journal & reading all the encouraging words of people that have experienced some of the same things. It's the best I have ever felt when trying to alter my lifestyle. Thanks again.

Gosh, great weekend followed by being sick on Monday. Gained 0.7 back & just now re-lost it & 0.1 more. Sick should make you lose, not gain! Oh well, maybe my body needed to keep what it had. Back on track except that I don't record my food anymore. I can't figure out how to add a serving of recipe that I have cooked. I am keeping to my plan. I love eating low carb. I have been checking my blood sugars & they range 90 to 110. Can't ask for better than that, especially when they were 320's when I started. Praise GOD!
