I was appalled when I stepped on the scale today. 178.2.
I just checked my old journals and the last time I weighed 178 was Sept. 27, 2010. I can't believe it has been over 2 years.
I notice that I am not feeling as energetic and healthy as I did before I got into the 170s. My hips are starting to hurt. I can still bend to tie my shoes, but I'm grunting when I do.
I am ready to get back on track.
I just returned from a short walk down the street to see the commotion with the firetrucks and ambulances. There were 2 separate calls on our block: one for Ed who had a mild heart attack over the weekend and one for younger neighbors I haven't met who live farther down.
This street is so different from our old street. Not in a bad way, because I have gotten to know so many names, whereas on the old street, I was acquainted with only a few neighbors by their first names. And some who lived only 2 doors down, we never met.
