Am follow close behind you. Sometimes wonder how many tries it will take until we get it right?

I dunno Buffy. I was all in for year one. I haven't completely fallen off, but have pushed some of this stuff to the side as life happened. Also, I think it is hard to log every day and all when you have been doing it with success for over a year. And I think we need to be able to wean off. I pretty much know what is "good" and "bad" at this point. That is because of being so diligent over time. You probably do too! I do know that logging brings it all into focus as my mind will definitely rationalize. My biggest issue right now: Late night eating. I love my cave time. everyone else asleep, my tv shows aetc. The problem is...I tend to snack!!

I do know what is "good" to eat, but if I don't log it I'll have too much of a "good" thing! Keep your chin up - old habits will come back to you!

For me, it took three times. First time was a 100% "false start". 2nd time, I lost something like 15 kilos. Third time was a charm. I think what is important - at least to me - is to NOT stop counting. I find new missions to stay healthy instead. I use the tracking to ensure that I get enough protein for my strength training, and obviously ALSO to keep an eye on calories. I am now so comfortable logging food that I wouldn't want to eat until it's logged. Wife is always mocking me because "I can't eat unless I have internet access". LOL. She's right. Kinda sad, huh? You will get the hang of it again, Mike. Maybe consider something like Intermittent Fasting to nudge your intake down a bit? You sound like the 5:2 approach could work for you. This way you could eat as you have been doing, but have the fast day(s) to nudge your overall intake down.

LOL. I'm glad you added a comment, Keld. I was going to say that you -- being one of the best success stories on here -- plan to log your foods forever, as far as I know. I think there may be something to that. Folks like us have proven over and over again that logging is so important for us. There are those that don't need to log their foods, and still know how they are doing. Those folks don't need FS. Good luck, Mike. Old school is often best! You got this!
