Some changes for the new year -- and they seem to be working:
1. I haven't had a drink since Jan 3rd. 2. I've been intermittent fasting since the same date.
To be honest, the not drinking is super easy. It took a few days for me to get over missing a beer or two in the evening. Now, I don't miss it at all. I did have to replace drinking beers with Diet Coke, tea or water.
Intermittent fasting is harder. I'm pushing it, though. My eating window is roughly 6 hours: so first meal at 10am or 11am and final meal before 4 or 5. That's 18 hours of fasting out of 24.
Hunger isn't an issue in the evening, but waiting until 10 or 11 to eat is tough. I've also cut out milk in my morning coffee. It does get easier, though.
And the results speak for themselves!
As a bonus, I feel great and I sleep very soundly.
I'm hoping to keep this up until the end of March. We'll see....
