I am extremely disappointed in myself and hate this. My self control is gone and I have the motivation but zero will power. I don’t know what to do at this point than yo start at square one again and start tracking which I hate but it helped last time. I was doing so well and everything jumped up again. Birthday cake (chocolate flan cake), candy, chips, ice cream, completely derailed and off the rails

I have been like that all week long.i have to come back to reality my give a f@#k broke and I almost felt like humpty dumpty.so now we gather ourselves up dust off and make a change.you got this so do i.

My hormones do this to me every cycle. Two weeks before my period it begins. I am able to resist for the first week but as progesterone levels rise, it becomes more challenging to stay disciplined. I have found that increasing my calorie level to maintenance for that week is enough to obviously halt my progress temporarily but also it's enough to stop the cravings. I can remain in control and have a treat. I am hoping this helps you in some way. Take care and be well

Thank you both, I am starting all over again with tracking and seeing what I can do to change. More fruit and veggies and protein (eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt), need to say no to pastries/breads/chips/packaged carbs. Need to drink more water too. I do better when I’m working from home than when I’m in the office because i have a drawer full of snacks there. I pack good stuff for the office and then I finish it and hit the chips. It’s not just one day at a time but it’s sometimes one hour or minute at a time too! I am probably hormonal too with perimenopause since I just turned 51 so my hormones and metabolism is all over the place. Don’t get me started on my digestion/bathroom issues either…. Thank you for the words of support and encouragement 💜

Start by getting rid of any junk food snacks in your drawer at work. You are setting yourself up for failure. If you buy them, put them in the drawer you have basically committed to eating them. You deserve better.

Two steps forward; one step back. You are still 1 step forward. I went to my office and saw cupcakes and wanted them. I worked remote the next few days knowing that I would eat them. Give the snacks in your drawer to janitors and kids that come in and replace them with individual bags of nuts, Parm Crisps, or other healthy snacks. Now, I need to take my own advice. Good luck; you got this and will be so happy when the weight is gone! I lost ten that I put back on. I must keep going and find a plan to keep the weight off.

Parm crisps is one of my snacks as is vegan jerky and mushroom jerky so not too bad, gotta get rid of the chips, I have granola clusters too, I just have to portion out and not eat from the bag. I have almonds in my drawer so I’m not AS bad as I portrayed apparently 😅. I have crunchy peas but I haven’t gotten to the healthy stuff yet because of those damn chips. Getting rid of those tomorrow when I’m back in. Thank you!!!

You are stronger than you think. It's all about changing the way you think and music can help that. You might want to start playing empowering songs like "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten, "Brave" by Sarah Bareilles, "Titanium" by Sia and "Unstoppable" by Sia. Next is to think differently about junk food. You don't want to completely deny yourself to the point of over eating it when you get the chance. To accomplish this when I see Junk food, I think to myself, "Do you really want to eat that and how will it affect your weight?" Think about what is it about that junk food that you are really looking for, is it the sweetness, the saltiness, the crunch, the goo?" Once you've got it figured out, you know what triggers you. Replace the junk food with a healthier alternative that you can turn to every now and then like chocolate flavored rice cakes or nice-cream with a little chocolate syrup or a WW mug cake. (Recipe is floating around the internet and it's only 100 cal.) Keep yourself to a single serving or half serving. If you are out at a party, eat smaller portions or a slice of cake without the icing. Hope this helps.

I've figured out that when I slack off tracking, I might think I know how much I'm putting in my body but I really don't. It reflects on the scale for sure. I can do it for a few weeks (as a break) but if I go much longer it affects everything... exercise, motivation, etc. I've learned that tracking is really my key to everything. Give yourself some grace! We all need a break from time to time. You know what you need, now just get back to it. 😊

Roasted Edamame nuts are perfect.—- I love them and would eat them regardless of my way of eating. Great on salads too.

Try going no sugar for a week so you can get a hold of your crave.

I feel like it’s so much harder during the summer. Way too many things that set me off course. Try not to discouraged. Every single day gives you the opportunity to start again. It’s never too late to keep trying.

I hear ya, I can sympathize with you it's really hard. Don't deprive yourselftoo much...moderation. From what a dietician told me 10 minutes of whatever activity you choose throughout your day should be okay. Please don't get discouraged, just get back on track and try again. Every day is a new day. We're all here to cheer ya on!

This is part of the journey. I've plateaued or gained after losing, so know that all of us understand and have been where you are....or are currently there with you (me). Kiwijglass is right- Every day is a new day. Just hit restart. Personally, I have to track my food or I get off track. Also, not a fan, but I know it works for me. I had someone compare weight loss to sailing a small sailboat. You don't aim for your target, you have to tack to catch the wind. You go in the general direction of where you want to go, but you have to tack or change direction to get there. I've read, but don't know if there's any truth to it, but that switching things up with your food from time to time may keep your body from thinking it's starving (upping the calories it saves). A birthday party would do that. Weight loss is full of little ups and downs, but you'll get there if you're headed in that general direction. You are just fine!

Aw, sis, I hear you. I felt this myself very recently, so I went back to tracking my cals too. I really didn’t want to because I find it tedious, and I’m still not 100% doing it, but it honestly has been helping me make better decisions. What helps me stay accountable is posting my meals too. I’m a lot less likely to eat random junk food if I know I’ll be posting it for all of FS to see, lol. You got this, my girl!!!

I’m also working in intermittent fasting too, no eating after 5 pm. Trying to not eat until 11 am
