Good morning. I'm stuck at 257...I guess it's a good thing, at least I'm not gaining, however, it can be frustrating. Plenty of fruit and veggies with some fish and curried rice this week. I'm cutting out more and more foods that use to be staples; reading and watching how our meat products are prepared is starting to turn me off meat! A friend and I rescued three Shih Tzo's about three weeks ago. She kept one of the females and I kept the other with a male. The individual we got them from said she was retiring them... she wouldn't give us pedigree paperwork and said she had to find the vet records. Needless to say when the dogs were taken to the vet we discovered that they had numerous health problems. None of them were on record as having shots or of being seen! As I write this my female, Nee-Nee is getting ready for surgery... all of her teeth except her front four have to be pulled because of the decay, she's also being spayed. She's supposedly six and has been used for breeding her whole life. Now she and Oreo will be living a life filled with being loved and spoiled! My friends female, Emma is also having surgery today. She has a mammary tumor which will be taken care of and is being spayed also. I never thought I would fall so hard for a little dog, but I did... NeeNee looks at me with such love and Oreo has finally warmed up to us and loves to snuggle right against me. They both follow me like I'm their mother and whine when I go to the bathroom without them! Spoiled already? YEP. It helps that my two big dogs have bonded with them. Okay now, sorry for ranting this morning... I hope that everyone has a blessed day... please say a prayer for the little ones in surgery.
