Ugh! 😞 I don't know how to reply to replies on my journal 📓 entries. I appreciate any feedback so if I don't respond it's just bc I'm too stupid to figure out how to reply.
Trying to snap out of this depression. My 17 year relationship could be ending abrupt. I don't want to lose him but in my old age, I've become stubborn and not willing to compromise my feelings anymore. My weight is still about the highest it's ever been in my life. Surprisingly, I have not had significant weight gains in spite of consuming 2,400-2,900 calories every day. 😳 I complain about my aging, slowing metabolism but I'm actually pretty lucky? Most of my calories come from carbohydrates too. Sugar. Soda. White rice, moderate to high fat and low to moderate protein. If I could ever stick to Keto diet, I'd probably get lean fairly quickly.

It is really hard to stick to a diet when your stress levels are high. Sometimes you just have to wait till life settles and the worst is passed. What I did find is that a keto diet is better than pills for depression. You just feel better all around.

Hi Tracy, there is no reply button. Basically you type the person's name, that you're responding to, and then type your response, and then hit post comment. I am so sorry things aren't going well. Yes, sugar is a big problem. Ditching it will help your weight, metabolism, and mood. I know it's hard but it can be done. Chardes is right, it is is hard to stick to a diet when you're stressed. I would like to recommend Indian ginsing. It's called Ashwagandha. It got me off my synthetic thyroid pills, gives me energy, and reduces stress. I've been using it for 3 months now. It also straightened out my menstrual cycle. I was bleeding every 2 weeks and that stopped almost immediately.

I did low carb for 2 months straight and lost a good bit of weight. I got lazy in motivation and went back to eating whatever. The reason I haven't gained weight is because I am eating less despite the kind of food I'm eating. To say low carb is not sustainable is untrue. It depends on the person and HOW LOW CARB you go. I can't go lower than 50g carb without feeling tired because I have 2 heavy training days a week. But it is different for everyone. I find going low carb kills my cravings and it is easy to keep on track. I also find myself needing to remind myself to eat because I am usually full. I have a problem with under eating on low carb. Regardless of the diet, low carb, high carb, whatever- it depends on the person. It is not easy to find what works for yourself. I find going lower on the carbs keeps me from eating crap. The past two weekends between my Mom and dad's birthday- I had cake and cookies. My family just loves to buy garbage. Well I indulged and guess what? My sugar dragon woke up and I have been craving crap since then, now getting back on the bandwagon is tough. But you have to learn moderation which for me is the hardest thing to do but I am doing it. You have to WANT your goal enough to change. It is up to you to want it enough to make it happen.

Well on the upside when my relationship broke up over 12 years ago, I lost weight. To ward of depression I would go on long walks as many times a day as I could. I started hiking too. Exercise will bring up your spirits!

Hello tracey115. This is my first day .would like to lose 60 pounds going threw menopause been in relationship for 30 years. Just would like to feel healthy
