Welcome to FS. I have never done banting but have managed to lose a lot of weight just by using this app and counting my calories. I believe that you need carbs but must just chose the right carbs and not to much. Also try intermittent fasting, i did that for quite a few months which helped me lose a lot of my weight. Good luck with your weight loss journey.

Thanks dear for the advice but I saw people at our workplace who lost quite a lost on banting so I have been seriously considering that route as well

Hi Spiwepriscilla, I started off with banting but went more keto which is just higher protein than banting. I lost 40kg in the 1st 9 months. I've been lazy this year but am at 46kg loss. I weigh myself once a month now. I've been back to being strict these last 2 weeks but it's my birthday tomorrow so weekend won't be too clean. My goal for August is to be around 98kgs or less.

Thank you dear kindly explain to me about the meals your were eating on banting I really want to do banting I would like to lose 30kgs,

Mostly green veggies like spinach, cabbage, green beans, cauliflower(not green, but low carb), broccoli and meat (all kinds) and coconut oil, butter, olive oil etc. and I also exercise
