Päiväkirja - Socolova, 01 elo 14

Holy bananas, Batman! I am sore!!!!! I have no idea what happened, I DID workout a bit hard last night but about an hour after I was done, I could barely walk. Ok, I admit, I kicked my own a**, I nearly threw up halfway thru it. But I had SOOOOO much energy after work, I needed to burn it. I don't think I pushed myself to the point of not being able to walk, yet here I am hobbling around. My left quad is ridiculous! So, because of that I snoozed my alarm this morning, no AM workout. I'm on a great streak with losing right now so I'm disappointed I didn't go, but it just wasn't possible! Time to rest!! No point in hurting myself, just going to eat very well today and take it easy!

Tomorrow will be a challenge for sure, Leinenkugel's Canoe Trip, including an after party full of free beer and food. Oh my.....it's a 4 mile canoe trip down the busy Chicago River though so I'll get a good workout in. Perhaps if I just eat very well, I can indulge in a little boozin'. That's the part I'm worried about, I know I can eat well. I haven't had any alcohol in nearly 3 weeks though so that will be interesting. THEN we have a wedding reception for our friends, who are Italian, so the food and wine will be plentiful!!!! YIKES!!! Just gotta be mindful and not turn into a food/wine zombie eating/drinking everything in sight! NOM NOM!!!!

Happy Friday, my dears!! I hope you all have an amazing day and weekend!! I probably won't be around to journal but I'll be thinking of you!! And praying for myself!! LOL

If you plan carefully, eat light before the wedding reception and then there make smart choices it will still be some room in your RDI for alcohol which you should also plan ahead in your food log so you don't over do it. Alcohol is the downfall for many dieters.

Yes, do take it easy today. Don't exercise that muscle again, for at least 48 hours. If you have some "sports" cream, and take an ibuprofren, that might help get you through the soreness.

Ooooh, Italian food is my weakness! Have you tried epsom salt baths? They do wonders for me when I wreck my legs :)

I might sound like a weirdo but I HATE baths...and hot tubs....I feel like I'm in human soup lol...I have a microbiology background, it's made me paranoid...haha, but thank you!

LOVES me some hot tub!!! After a hard weight work out, take a nice soak.... I don't have one, but it is on my list! Doubt it will have Epsom salts in it.. :lol:

The friends we stayed with have a hot tub so against my better microbiological judgement, I took a soak, and yes it did wonders!! :)
