Päiväkirja - Herbie, 23 helmi 15

I've been active in some way every day this week, which has been really great. Today my Fitbit sent me an email saying I received a "Penguin Award" for having some number of steps in a week, which I think is very funny because it has been so icy and slippery here recently that our university sent out a warning to students and encouraged them to "take small steps and walk like a penguin" to avoid falling down. Apparently Fitbit approves.

Scale tipped down slightly today, which is good to see. My body is sore from all the running and rock climbing and soccer and shoveling over the past few days so today I think I'll take it a little bit easy to give my muscles some recovery time.

Nice trend on your weight chart! Fitbit's great! Because of it I do all kinds of things to keep moving: park at the far edge of parking lots, walk while I talk on the phone, take a walk at lunch. Plus the "friends" feature fuels my competitive spirit and I get more steps as a result. BTW, since you're a soccer player too, I put my fitbit in my sock during soccer games. In an average game I get around 7K steps. It's slick here today -- flight cancelled -- I'm taking penguin steps! :-)

Hi Herbie, nice steady progress I see. I think I will weigh in on Weds morning, which will be one week after starting up again.
