So I went into a dark hole ever since my last time logging in on here.

I became so focused on making sure that my weight would be going down every single time I got on the scale, that when I ran into a weight gain, I gave up and relapsed. Thankfully after doing more research and learning, I decided not to necessarily let the scale dictate my well-being and start paying attention to the main signs, such as watching my waist size get smaller.

Also, I had a talk with my dad a few weeks back about wanting to eat healthy and I was happy that he didn't mind it and told me to make a list of foods for him to buy and he's been doing just that to help support me. Like, you guys have no idea how extremely decked out my parent's house would be with junk food. I'm talking two bags of chips, two containers of ice cream, cookies, two bags of candy, ramen noodles, and more. Thankfully, our house has been graced with yogurt, fruits, salads, vegetables (focusing more on leafy greens), juice (without corn syrup). Of course, he still buys junk food, but fortunately, the amount of junk food has been greatly reduced (there's only like one-two bags of chips and a small container of ice cream).

Overall, I've been enjoying my new diet and along with working out on my bike and doing some intense drumming sessions, I'm back in the fight! :D

I'm in the same boat, letting a gain get the best of me. Sounds like you've got a great plan!

Thanks for the encouragement peeps!! Also @fat2foxy, don't let the gain mislead you into thinking that you're the one off track. If you stick to your diet regime along with exercising, then you're on the right track. Even though one can keep track of whether weight is loss or gain, the tricky part about it is that weight is will fluctuate, so the main signs of noticing your weight loss by noticing your body size shrink. If the jeans that you wore last week feel looser this week, then it's a result of weight loss.

Hi everybody This is my first challenge I've ever done. I've been on (and off again) on Fat Secret for a while. I'm making a commitment to change my habits to healthier ones and stay on track a bit more this time. I went for a slow jog this morning for the first time in months to start up! I'm also starting to keep my food & exercise dairy on here again.

Best thing ever is to have less of the trigger/negative foods available to eat in your own house. You're blessed with a good father who is hearing your cry for help and stepping up to your call. BEST OF LUCK!
