Mr. C came to town today and gained me a pound or so, instead of losing me any weight!! It could also have been the carbs from yesterday's diet of couscous etc.
Today started bad with a craving for a chocolate scone that hit me by surprise when I went to get coffee. I did indulge in that, but then picked up a subway salad and tried to be good therafter. The salad had all veggies and I opted for fat free dressing (low point, and 1/2 serving that I had cost me 7 carbs). I had some half and half with the coffee so that counts as well.
After gym, I made a nice dinner of chickn stirfry, but somehow the burnt garlic and hardenend chicken made me lose my appetite and I ended up eating only the salad (with mustard, oil, and lemon dressing).
So overall, I'd say I'm ok on points today, despite the high carbs intake due to the scone.
Gym was good..I did my lower body training: front lunges: 8 pds, 20 reps, 3 sets side lunges: 8 pds, 20 reps, 3 sets (each side) back lunges: 8 pds, 20 reps, 3 sets quad machine: 25 pds, 15 reps, only 2 sets Ab situps on ball: 50 situps Lower back: 15 reps, 2 sets
and then I did my first ZUMBA class..it was FUN!!!! lots of latin, african, and even Indian dancing!!! Got a good cardio workout and got to feel sexy due to all the hip swinging..I'm definitely going back!!! The ironic thing is I was doing much better with all the latin moves but really, really sucked at the Indian one!!! go figure!! (ya'll know I'm Indian, right?!) Well, I must be latin at heart---I definitely love those songs and moves...just want to get better at this! And can't wait for my hiphop class on Monday---I hope, I pray I can be good at that stuff---I really want to learn it sooo bad!!!
Other than that, Leesah and I upped the ante on our challenge. By Oct 1st, whoever loses the most weight wins 200 bucks!!!! I hear that new wardrobe calling my name!!! :)
