Great news to share! I had my 2 week follow up with my doc. I was kinda worried because the Urgent Care doc (who diagnosed the diabetes) told me to expect that, when I see my primary care doc, I will most likely be put on blood pressure and cholesterol meds in addition to the Metformin. Well... no new meds for me! My doc ran more labs and turns out my blood pressure is great! My cholesterol is a little high but easily controlled/reversed by all the things I'm already doing for the diabetes! *happy dances* He also says as long as keep up the good work I should be able to get off the Metformin and control the diabetes with healthy eating & excercise! My sugars have continued ued their downward trend and I haven't been over 200 in a couple days!
Yesterday I got home from work, got out of my car and went straight out for a walk down to the lake. I did some stretching, yoga & meditation while basking in the late day sun. Then did a belly dance tutorial when I got home. Felt really good!
