FINALLY!! At long last I'm confident to say that I've reached my goal of losing 40 pounds. Yay! It's been slow going for me over the past two months, but I'm pretty sure that the weight is gone away for good. That's the plan, anyway. :)
I started SBD on May 1st and came to fatsecret just a couple days after that. I'd never dieted before, and I really wasn't confident that I could lose this weight. In fact, I orginally put a goal weight of 135 because the idea of losing 40 pounds was absolutely daunting. I've gone from size 16 to size 6 and finally feel like I have my body back to what I always kind of thought it ought to be even though I was denying that it wasn't. ;-)
This continues to be an amazing experience, both in terms of seeing changes in my body and also just meeting all of you and participating in this community. I'm sure that I wouldn't have had as much success as I have without all my fatsecret buddies, and I really appreciate all your support over the months.
I've reached this goal, but I'm not going away. My plan now is to focus on my fitness. I may like to lose a few more pounds, but that will be secondary to just keeping strong and fit.
I'll have to take some pix and post before and after just for fun. Woo hoo!

Yes, please do that, post your before and after pics...and you girl, have me in happy tears for you. Our goals are so similar and you make me believe it can be done. You are an inspiration to us ALL! Wow, I am so happy for you. If you're anywhere near Phoenix, let me know, we'll go celebrate SB style, on me! You deserve all the kudos in the world. You are a stellar example to us all. Thanks for your comment, that means a lot ot me. I'd love to take you up on your offer to celebrate, but I'm in Ohio --very far from Phoenix. And cold! We'll have to celebrate SB style from afar.

Yay Herbie!! I am so happy for you!! You have done so good. We started here at the same time, with Info, and you both have reached your goals. I had better kick it into high gear!

Herbie - I am so PROUD of you on reaching your goal!!!! You have proven that it can be done - by eating healthier and adopting a regular exercise routine. I am finding that exercise is a key to long term success on any weight loss plan. Thanks for being a shining example for all of us. I will have to check with Ms. Cow Boss Bully - but I think if you reach your goal during the Ride em' challenge - your team should automatically win that week :) - my philosophy is "if you don't ask, you'll never know" (Can't blame a swing rider for trying!) Can't say it enough - I am beaming with pride for you!!!!

Most Wonderful news! GOAL!! Very inspiring to all of us. I was just thinking today that I will probably never be a small size again but am getting fit and losing weight continually...now I read you've reached goal and are a size 6!!! give me hope!! Thanks for sharing the weight loss journey with us
