Stupid Alcohol will be the death of me!!! It was a 3 day weekend for me and every "Monday" my weight is up!

I have wine every night - should I cut that out?

theoretically, yes. A glass of "whine" is 200+ calories. All sugars, too, and typically at the end of the day when you're long since past burning calories. Hence the "beer belly" ... If you are more disciplined than me, and you've "saved" an extra 200+ calories so that your glass or two of wine doesn't put you over your daily necessary calorie intake, HEY, more power to you (I'll drink to that...)

I try not to have any because I always want more than one!!!

I used to have a glass of wine (or two) every night and I have since cut it back to one 5 oz. glass about 2 times a week. A 5 oz. glass of red wine is about 125 calories so I just make sure that I have saved enough calories in my day to have that glass of wine. There is no way I'm giving up my wine altogether.

LOL at most of your comments. I do enjoy beer, bloody mary's, captain and diet coke - lol. I've been really trying to cut my intake because they are needless calories and I just need to quit drinking as much. Everytime I do - yes one leads to 3 and then I totally don't stick to my diet! ERRRRRRRRR!!!!!

I don't drink right now due to medication. When I could, I loved my red wine. Cap & diet coke if out. Spicy bloody Mary's on Sundays! hey it included celery. I learned from a fellow fat secret that the alcohol gets burned up before the actual calories for your bod. That was an easier way for me to accept my choices. Good luck! It does help to drink a water in between drinks. and plenty afterward.

Never base your progress on a Monday weigh-in. Always use Friday morning and track your loss using that value. I have lost 115 lbs in less than a year and still drink my Mich Ultra and Rye whiskey on the weekends.
