Good Monday everyone!

I have been so busy this past 10 days. I finished out the Unity Christian Music Festival in Muskegon on the 13th and left for a road trip vacation with GoodMan and my sister to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg on the 14th. We just had time to unpack our suitcase, and repack it before we left. I had an awesome time with two of my favorite people. My sister and I got a lot of time together to chat and catch up on each other's lives. She lives 3 hours south of me and we don't get together as often as we'd like...and I'm TERRIBLE at talking on the phone!

We got home on Friday night late and were immediately recruited to babysit 4 grands while their parents enjoyed an anniversary weekend. Another son and 2 grands came to spend the night on Saturday. A third son and another grand stopped by yesterday to check the trailcam on our property. The bear in the picture from our trailcam is probably disappointed in our deer feeder since it is empty. He (or she) is one reason I no longer walk the trails in my woods with my headphones on. In fact, GoodMan usually tours around our trails with either a tractor or one of the go-karts before I go out just to give any woodland creatures a heads-up.

I've done well on my WOE during my busy schedule. I packed keto foods and ate what fit my WOE when we went out. As has become usual for me, I stay the same weight for about 3 weeks and then lose weight. I didn't weigh myself while I was out of town, but when I returned I hadn't lost any weight. Today I am down 3/4 of a pound from my lowest weigh-in. Hopefully I will lose a few more pounds before I begin my next plateau.

Make your Monday mah-velous!

Happy Saturday!

Last night's TobyMac concert was AWESOME!! I'm so glad I decided way back in April to step out of my comfort zone and purchase tickets to this music festival. Crowds are not my thing, but I am still having a blast!

My eating has been on point. I packed all my meals and I didn't eat any festival carbage. I'm sure I ate more than I would have had I been at home, but at least it was all within my WOE. I could always pack less food, but my fear is I might then be tempted to eat junk. I'm curious to see if I have lost any weight during the festival, but if not I won't be surprised because my lower legs and feet are pretty swollen.

This is our last day at the Unity Christian Music Festival in Muskegon. Today's main stage artists are: Zach Williams, Laura Story, Mac Powell, and Matthew West...another great lineup. Today we plan to have two young granddaughters join us. There are a lot of activities for kids here - and GoodMan wants something else to do other than sit around and listen to music...Pokémon can only keep him occupied so long! Lol!! Honestly, he's been a trooper, especially since this is not his type of music. And other than an elephant ear, he had kept his festival carbage out of my view (although I spy the evidence on his shirt when he comes back from "taking a walk", lol!)

Make your Saturday spectacular!

Happy Friday!

Today is day three at the Unity Christian Music Festival in Muskegon. I'm really excited about seeing TobyMac in concert tonight! I was pumped about getting to see Casting Crowns last night but crash bang thunder and lightning put an early end to the evening. I would not have wanted to be the festival officials as they had to make the hard decision to cancel the headlining band. GoodMan and I sat through a 15 minute downpour because they thought the storm would pass quickly. Unfortunately, another storm was expected in the next half hour so they apologized for having to cancel. As much as I'd have liked to see them perform, the safety of thousands is more important. GoodMan and I walked back to the hotel before the heavens opened up again. I listened to my favorite Casting Crowns songs on my laptop back at the hotel.

Yesterday was a hungry day. I ate spinach casserole in the hotel room around noon and packed a small salad, 6 salami/cream cheese/cucumber roll-ups, 3 deviled egg halves, 2 peanut butter fat bombs, and 4 keto chocolate chip cookies to last the whole day and evening (figuring it was overkill). I ate all but one cookie...and I also ate a small handful of Goodman's salted almonds. I don't think it had anything to do with all the festival carbage all around me (including Goodman's elephant ear) because I really don't crave any of that stuff. I'm just glad I had all of my keto food on hand so I wasn't tempted to eat junk when I felt hunger.

GoodMan and I paid extra to have reserved seats at the festival so we wouldn't have to carry lawn chairs and bags 5 blocks from the hotel. I noticed the couple sitting next to us had packed Duke's meat sticks and Parmesan Crisps for their snacks. At one point I turned to my next-seat-neighbor and asked, "Are you guys Keto?" With big smiles they said, "Yes!" and we spent a while talking about our experiences. They are new - 2 weeks - and had lots of questions. I thought it was too bad they saw me on a "hungry day" because it felt like I didn't do a very good job of representing being fat-adapted. But I was real! Although it seems slow to me, my 25 pound weight loss in 14 weeks seemed to encourage them.

Well, I'm off to pack my food for today...it's not starting off well...I already ate my spinach casserole because I was hungry (earlier than usual). I guess will pack extra fat bombs to curb hunger.

Today's line-up for the music festival is Carrollton, Blanca, Ryan Stevenson, and TobyMac.

Make your Friday fabulous!
